Professor Lyubka Lipcheva-Prandzheva, DLitt, teaches History of Bulgarian literature at the University of Plovdiv. Between 2003 and 2006 as well as at present she is guest lecturer at the Slavic Studies Institute at the University of Vienna. She is author of books such as Barziyat san na mitovete [The Rapid Sleep of Myths] (1999), Levski: bukvi ot imeto [Levski: Letters in the Name] (2001), Bitie v prevoda. Bulgarska literatura na nemski ezik XIX-XX vek [Being in Translation. Bulgarian Literature in German: 19-20 centuries] (2010). She is member and leader of a number of international research projects, editor of dozens of scholarly volumes and author of numerous essays and critical studies in the fields of literature and culture.
